Hi there.
It’s the weekend before Christmas, millions of people are on the move, the roads will be clogged, the airports will be packed – but I’m quite happy to stay close to home. We may venture out on the Ashdown Forest for a walk to Pooh bridge later on, as long as the weather behaves, but other than that, a swift trip to Morrisons first thing tomorrow morning for some Christmas essentials will do me! No, no, no. No tearing around for us this year. I like my home, and I want to enjoy it!
I am actually enjoying coming down early in the mornings, when it’s still dark, getting the log fire going, making a nice strong cup of tea, and settling down to blog to you. This simple ritual is a good way to start the day. No time to even consider what else needs doing. Just nice to focus on a simple kickstart, and arrange my thoughts slowly.
I’ve been thinking about where we’ve been this year, and where we’re headed. That’s my job, right? To drive the bus. On a side note, did I mention we took the bus to Brighton yesterday? £12 return for all 3 of us. From Crowborough to Churchill Square! That’s quite a distance. About an hour. Isn’t that crazy cheap? Even when we took the train from Tunbridge Wells to Charing Cross-London on Sunday, we only paid £36 return for all 3 of us. £12 each? £6 one way?? That’s cheap too! Conclusion? Leave the car in the drive – and use public transport when you can!
Anyway, I digress. We have been C for Celebrating the Year of The Alphabet in the SHAC throughout 2024 – and we’re not F for finished yet! Date for the Calendar: 6th January 10am. We crack on with O for…what do you think? We completed N for Nativity Nicely, and on the 6th we continue with O for? Give us some ideas please…

Might be the ideal things to get yourself, so you can use it specifically for any SHAC dates, workshops, retreats, Open Days, online courses etc. Keep it separate from your family life and Doctor’s appointments etc, and just fill it with your arty crafty life! I’ve just had an idea! I will go through the whole year and all we‘ve done, take good pics, and make a little bloggy diary of it all, with photos. So we can use it as a reference and ideas guide. Anyway…
